On December 6, 2024, Mr. Zheng Dazheng, postgraduate counselor and academic secretary of Sun Yat-sen University’s School of Tourism, led a team of over 20 postgraduates to HeyTrip for an in-depth site visit and exchange. Ms. Mai Yanping, Head of HR and Administration at HeyTrip, along with a team of over 10 staff members, warmly hosted the delegation.
The event aimed to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, enhance mutual understanding, and provide students with insights into the cutting-edge trends of the travel industry and a tangible view of corporate operations. In her welcome speech, Ms. Mai emphasized HeyTrip’s commitment to collaborating with universities and providing platforms for young talent to showcase their potential. She expressed hope for deeper collaboration with Sun Yat-sen University in various fields. Meanwhile, Mr. Zheng introduced the School of Tourism’s key initiatives in education, talent development, and international exchanges, offering attendees a comprehensive understanding of the school’s activities and development.
During the session, HeyTrip employees shared their professional experiences, particularly in business development and talent cultivation. Ms. Fang Lei, Head of HeyTrip’s Car Rental Department and a 1995 alumna of Sun Yat-sen University, shared her career journey, encouraging students to choose a platform that fosters continuous learning and growth, and to achieve professional success through perseverance and effort. The visiting students expressed that the visit gave them valuable insights into the future trends of the tourism industry and HeyTrip’s operational model, as well as clearer perspectives on potential career paths and planning in the industry.
This visit follows HeyTrip’s campus recruitment event at Sun Yat-sen University’s Zhuhai Campus on September 18, 2024, marking another step forward in deepening ties.
