During this year's "May 1st" holiday, Chengdu's cultural and tourism consumption has surged, with the visitor flow exceeding the pre-pandemic levels for the first time in five years. The city received a total of 19.394 million visitors, an increase of 42.5% year-on-year and 23.1% compared to 2019, with total tourism revenue of 15.06 billion yuan, an increase of 81.9% year-on-year and 12% over 2019. HeyTrip has also learned from the OTA's national holiday travel data report that Chengdu ranked third among the national popular tourist destinations during the "May 1st" holiday. Investment also showed a positive trend. According to the Chengdu Investment Promotion Bureau, from January to June, the city introduced 223 major and high-energy projects with a total investment of 3561.15 billion yuan, including 67 major projects with a total investment of more than 30 billion yuan, and a total investment of 295 billion yuan.
