China Railways: 1.77 billion passengers were sent in the first half of the year

In the first half of this year, 1.77 billion passengers were sent across the country, approaching the level of the same period in 2019. The number of passengers sent in April, May, and June increased rapidly, with growth of 7.6%, 5.6%, and 4.8% respectively compared to the same period in 2019. On April 29, 19.661 million passengers were sent, setting a new high for the daily number of railway passengers. (China Railways)

China Tourism Research Institute: It's the peak season for summer travel, with over 80% being individual tourists

According to a survey of traditional high-temperature city summer tourism markets by the Data Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the overall travel intention of traditional high-temperature cities in the third quarter of this year reached 94.6%. In terms of travel frequency, 38.4% of residents plan to travel twice this summer, and 35.1% of residents plan to travel three times.

Data from Tongcheng Travel shows that since June, the search heat for "drifting" related products has increased by 272%; data from Ctrip shows that in mid-June, the heat of "river tracing" related products has increased by more than 50% month-on-month; data from Tuniu Travel shows that tourists choosing long domestic travel mostly take summer cooling as the main purpose, such as Yunnan, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, Inner Mongolia and other destinations; Baidu Index big data platform shows that the search heat with summer travel as the keyword is continuously rising. Airfare rises by over 30% during the summer vacation
